• Windows 7 is now supported: You can now run WiPeer on Windows 7 and even use WiPeer to connect and share files between computers running Windows 7, Vista and XP.
• WiPeer in Spanish, French, Portuguese, Russian, Italian, and Croatian: Thanks to Santiago del Brio, WiPeer is now also available in Spanish. Leo Lanzarotti translated WiPeer to French. Michael Kliot and Lilia Vitenberg provided the translation to Russian. Portuguese was a joint effort of Jose Mocito, Frederico Palma and Aline Carneiro Viana. Francesco Atzeni translated WiPeer to Italian. Slaven Nice provided the translation to Croatian.
• WiPeer's Peersonalizer feature for Facebook users: Facebook users can now use WiPeer to discover when their Facebook friends, or even friends of friends are nearby. All that is needed is to install the Peersonalizer Facebook application and enable Facebook in the "Add-on->Facebook" menu of WiPeer.
• WiPeer to go open source: We have decided to open the WiPeer source in order to expedite the development and accelerate the adoption of WiPeer. We are currently finalizing the license model and procedures for incorporating contributed code into the main distribution of WiPeer.

Projects

The following projects are currently under way:

• Porting WiPeer to Linux: The porting of the networking interfaces is almost done. Work is about to begin on porting the GUI itself.
• Several additional games are under developments.
• Internationalization: Thanks to Frederico Palma, Jose Mocito, Aline Carneiro Viana, Leo Lanzarotti, Santiago del Brio, Michael Kliot, Lilia Vitenberg, Francesco Atzeni and Slaven Nice we currently have support for Brazilian Portuguese, French, Spanish, Russian, Italian and Croatian. We are looking for volunteers to translate to other languages.
